To start our biking trip, we all rode up on a Friday. We met at Conant Elementary School at five o’clock and we were then assigned our rides and told where to put our bikes. The troop then drove up to our Kensington campsite and unloaded all of our gear. Once everyone was there and we had counted off, the patrols were assigned separate patrol sites. All of the patrols then proceeded to take tents from our quartermaster, and set up the tents in our designated patrol sites. We all then had a peaceful night of sleep. Saturday was our biking day. The troop woke up bright and early and proceeded to pre-make sandwiches, and fill water bottles for the trip. We spent most of the day biking (without incident) the beautiful trails of Kensington. Although after lunch, we did have a minor directional switch up. The last four miles of the trip were uphill and extremely exhausting. That night, we had a great campfire program and a great night of sleep. The next morning we packed up all of our things and left our weekend of adventure at Kensington.
